Every time more we bet on travelling during fall. The month of October is, for many, the ideal time of year to go on vacation. At this time you can still enjoy some coastal destinations because the temperatures by the sea are still pleasant and the tourist attractions have less influx of people.

If you are wondering where to travel in October, in the following lines we are going to talk about the best destinations of the month and the coolest things to do.

1.Salou

Salou and the entire Costa Dorada are a fantastic choice to spend your holidays during the month of October.

The proximity between the municipality of Salou and PortAventura makes many opt for a short walk. You can go on foot since from Plaza Europa to the theme there are barely 25 minutes.

When autumn arrives, the streets of PortAventura are covered with cobwebs and pumpkins, the shows are transformed and the passages of terror appear. If you feel like being scared or enjoying the family entertainment this season, there is no better plan than visiting Salou between the end of September and mid-November.

It is mandatory to walk along the beautiful Paseo Marítimo Jaime I, of 2 kilometres long, and full of giant palm trees by the sea. There is no shortage of restaurants, playgrounds and fountains along the route. A good plan to relax with family, but also with friends, since here you can relax and have a drink with views of the Mediterranean without the great crowds of summer.

2. Benidorm

In autumn, Benidorm is known for its markets, parades, theatres, shows and patron saint festivities, attractions for tourists who are passionate about the city and do not hesitate to return year after year on the same dates.

Although it is hard to believe, at this time of year there are still some of the most pleasant temperatures in Benidorm. You will not be hot or cold, and there is still an amazing atmosphere for visitors and tourists.

Some days you will be able to swim, or simply enjoy the beach and its charms. Moreover, you will also have the option of enjoying those activities that are more complicated to do in summer due to their high cost.

A plan that you cannot miss in this wonderful destination is a visit to the “Balcony of the Mediterranean”, a central viewpoint of Benidorm where you can contemplate the autumn sunsets and discover the beauty of the locality.

 3. Costa del Sol (Benalmádena y Torremolinos)

A getaway in destinations such as Torremolinos and Benalmádena fit perfectly with you if you are looking for a holiday on the Costa del Sol that is not expensive, but without missing good beaches or cheap restaurants with good value for money.

The weather in autumn on the Costa del Sol is more refreshing, but you will still find a day to go to the beach. Temperatures are more moderate and mild, hovering between 20º and 25º, even reaching 30º occasionally. It is undoubtedly the best time to visit the city without being as hot as in the summer months.

You can enjoy Torremolinos and Benalmádena without fearing the summer heat stroke, through the streets, parks, terraces and promenade. There are many corners where the various stalls roast chestnuts with charcoal!

Strolling along the Carihuela beach and visiting the Battery Park, where you can ride a bike, skate or have a picnic is a plan that you cannot miss on your vacation.

Dare to discover the outstanding charm that these destinations have in autumn, and what better way to do it than by staying in our hotels! Discover them.
